Husbands Beware is a remake of the Three Stooges comedy short film, Brideless Groom, using lots of footage from the previous film.

The Three Stooges comedy short Husbands Beware begins with Larry and Moe marrying Shemp’s portly sisters. Who quickly show their controlling, abusive nature. They beat up their newlywed husbands, and throw them into the kitchen to make a turkey dinner. Despite their having no knowledge of how to cook. The kitchen scene is funny, as they pluck, then shave, the turkey. Shemp tries to help, making soap-infused coffee, inedible biscuits, etc. After trying to eat the inedible meal, the Stooges are thrown out.
The remainder of the film is mostly taken from Brideless Groom. The ending is different, where Moe and Larry reveal that the entire inheritance of Shemp’s was a hoax! Repayment for their marrying Shemp’s fat, unlikable sisters. And Shemp shoots them both in the posterior, ending the short film.

- The second half of Husbands Beware is almost entirely stock footage from 1947’s Brideless Groom. In the new footage of the wedding sequence, a double stands in for Dee Green (Fanny Dinkelmeyer).
