The Three Stooges short film Yes, We Have No Bonanzas is set in the American West, where Moe and Larry are singing in a saloon with their three sweethearts, while Curly is late.  The owner of the saloon, the villainous Maxey (played by Dick Curtis), is unhappy with their performance, and the girls reveal that they’re being blackmailed into working for Maxey, or he’ll have their father thrown into jail for his debts.

Larry and Moe get revenge on Curly while cleaning the office in "Three Missing Links"

In Three Missing Links the Three Stooges (Moe, Larry and Curly) are janitors at the ‘Super Terrific Productions’ movie studio, where the director and producer are looking for a leading man for their new jungle picture to star with the beautiful Mirabel Mirabel (played by Jane Hamilton) – but the leading man needs to look like a gorilla.  After destroying the office in an attempt to clean it — Curly’s cleaning of the desk is truly comedy gold — the Three Stooges are fired, only to have the director notice Curly’s resemblance to a gorilla (and Moe and Larry’s resemblance to Neanderthals) and hires them to co-star in the movie.  And soon, they’re all headed off to Africa to start filming!

Oily to Bed, Oily to Rise is a Three Stooges short film that begins with three con men entering their car, having tricked a widow into selling her land.  She doesn’t realize that there’s oil on the property.  As the con men leave, they nearly run over Moe, Larry and Curly, tramps walking down the middle of the road.  The Stooges soon see a farmhouse and go there, looking for a meal.  Mr. Johnson, the farmer, offers them food in exchange for sawing lumber.
