Moe, Larry and Joe are about propose marriage to their girlfriends. Joe’s fiancée is a nice, oversized young lady named Tiny (Maxine Gates). Later, the boys discover that Tiny’s ring, worth $5,000.00 has been stolen. The Stooges suspect it’s a muscular bully named Elmo (Matt Murphy), the trucking foreman who works at the same factory as them.

Set in the old American, West, in The Three Troubledoers, the Three Stooges (Moe, Larry, and Curly) are cowpokes coming into town to get new shoes for their mule, Gladys.  After witnessing a gunfight (and the latest in a long line of sheriffs being killed by the villain of the picture, and an occupant of the town changing the population on the “Welcome to Deadman’s Gulch sign” down), they make their way to the local blacksmith’s shop, where the blacksmith’s daughter (played by Three Stooges regular Christine McIntyre) is weeping …Badlands Blackie (Dick Curtis) has kidnapped her father, and she’€™ll never see him again unless she agrees to marry Blackie.  The Three Stooges try to intervene, but Blackie makes short work of them — €”until Curly’s gun belt fires by accident, scaring off Blackie, causing the townspeople to think that Curly has beaten Blackie in a gun fight.

Oily to Bed, Oily to Rise is a Three Stooges short film that begins with three con men entering their car, having tricked a widow into selling her land.  She doesn’t realize that there’s oil on the property.  As the con men leave, they nearly run over Moe, Larry and Curly, tramps walking down the middle of the road.  The Stooges soon see a farmhouse and go there, looking for a meal.  Mr. Johnson, the farmer, offers them food in exchange for sawing lumber.
