Movie Maniacs (1936) starring the Three Stooges (Moe Howard Larry Fine, Curly Howard)

Synopsis of Movie Maniacs

Movie Maniacs, the Three Stooges’ 13th Columbia short, spoofs movie-making and, as Moe puts it, the thousands who know nothing about making them. It also gives us a wonderful chance to see a vaudeville routine with Curly in drag and Larry as the debonair suitor.  Not to mention Moe’s method of teaching acting by having Larry and Curly manipulate a couple of actors like hand puppets.

The Stooges have 30 days to prove the superiority of their new plane, or be drafted, and so they get straight to work — with the predictable slapstick results.

You Nazty Spy!

You Nazty Spy! (1940) the first Nazi parody, starring the Three Stooges (Moe, Larry, Curly)

You Nazty Spy! is a rare treat of the Three Stooges.  In addition to being a hysterically funny short film, You Nazty Spy! is also a political satire, and bears the honor of being the first anti-Nazi film parody
